Drag Conveyors are one of the most energy efficient ways to convey bulk materials over, under and around other equipment when space is limited. They require less horsepower to convey a product than most other conveying equipment. In most cases, the bulk material enters the conveyor through a by-pass inlet to allow the product to fill the lower portion of the housing without contacting the chain and flights on the return rail. Once the materials have entered the bottom housing they are conveyed en-masse between vertical UHMW paddles sliding across a UHMW liner to the discharge point.
